GCE Director on 1895 Podcast
In the spring of 2024, GCE’s Global Director of Healthcare and Marketing Communications, Christian Borrie, joined Gas World editors, Tom Dee and Rob Cockerill, for the 10th episode of the media outlet’s brand-new podcast, 1895. The episode focused on the critical global industry of medical oxygen and some the companies and technologies behind the industry, which remain top of mind in healthcare following the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
“Discussing the massive challenge and transformation that the global medical oxygen industry experienced during and in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic was an honor, and a reflection of the knowledge of our incredible experts within GCE Medical,” said Christian Borrie. “Working with the global team to bring new and innovative products to market that we know are providing improved care and safety to patients is very rewarding.”
Borrie was thrilled to discuss GCE’s newest line of gas control equipment for medical applications. The new gas manifold systems by GCE are focused on patient safety, with multiple feed options to allow for protection for the patients to ensure they always have proper flow. The system also has a series of alarms and sensors to aid with maintenance of the system. The technology and product managers also worked to meet the regional engineering requirements, but this is the first of its kind to meet all global standards between Europe, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
