Have You Met Mig Jagger?

The ESAB manufacturing facility in Denton, TX, recently celebrated a major milestone with the completion of its extensive renovations. As part of the celebration, the facility unveiled its new mascot, Mig Jagger, a striking welded metal robot created by Maintenance Electro Technician Jimmy White.

Jimmy’s creation has quickly become a symbol of the ingenuity and craftsmanship that define the Denton team. Sharing the inspiration behind Mig Jagger, Jimmy explained:

I always make welded metal statues for employees who retire, and I like to make them personal by adding a little flair of what department they worked in or what we will remember them by. When my supervisor approached me to create something for the plant to display after the renovations, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to create. I was watching TV, the movie Transformers was on, and it hit me when I saw Bumblebee; I am going to create a robot with the black and yellow welder pieces! The next day I sketched out what I wanted him to look like, and two weeks later: Mig Jagger was created!

Mig Jagger showcases not only Jimmy’s creativity but also the innovative spirit of the entire team and a testament to the exceptional work being done at the Denton facility. Mig Jagger serves as both a mascot and a reminder of the passion and dedication that drive ESAB’s mission forward.
