ESAB Corporation’s World Headquarters is located in North Bethesda, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C. This region founded leading ESAB brands including Victor®, Tweco, Thermal Dynamics, Stoody, Ohio Medical, and AMI.

ESAB established its presence in this region in the 1950s, starting in Brazil.  It is home to ESAB brands including Sager, Sumig, Condor, Soldexa, and WestArco. Two manufacturing locations here operate entirely on renewable energy. Additionally, the Lurín, Peru facility has a private greenhouse where local associates grow food and run educational programs to support the community.

This region is home to the birthplace of ESAB, founded in 1904 by Oscar Kjellberg in Gothenburg, Sweden, with the invention of the first coated welding electrode. This region also founded several ESAB brands including GCE®, TBi Industries, Gas Arc, Therapy Equipment, and Swift-Cut.

ESAB MEA has been established for over 40 years and is recognized for its significant contributions to major infrastructure projects, including the Qatar World Cup, NEOM City, and Expo 2020 Dubai. The region is home to a state-of-the-art Process Centre that leverages cutting-edge technology to drive innovation. ESAB products were also used in the construction of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the tallest skyscraper in the world.

Operating in over 12 countries, ESAB’s innovations contribute to life-saving equipment, including ambulances and helicopters, and support critical industries such as shipbuilding, petrochemicals, energy, and general engineering. The region delivers advanced welding and cutting solutions through strong distribution networks and a focus on energy-efficient technologies. In India, community initiatives like Project Bandhan and Safe Welding Practices—recognized nationally—empower the welding community through training and education, further reflecting ESAB’s socially responsible and future-focused approach across Asia Pacific.
